Some HD channels showing no info in EPG

I had a few 'No Info" channels last night on my 9200.... I recall that PBSHD and ABCHW were two of them. I did a check switch to force a fresh channel download, but the "No Info" persisted for these stations..

I just looked right now.. Everything is fine with my EPG today.

Well, after being on the phone for over an hour, they told me that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for the EPG problem to be fixed, yeah right. I ended up asking to be put through to the cancellation department. Without hesitation, they did just that and guess what...I am now the proud owner of a 9242 PVR system, delivered on Sunday morning and hooked up and the EPG for ABC and PBS are working. Now I can set to PVR all my shows. Also gave me 6 months rental free. I guess this is the way to go.

C'mon people, wake up and smell the coffee. Its not the card swap, or trying to get you off a legacy package that is causing the "no info"
Its that dang Collider.....They have been secretly doing test runs, and indeed, as predicted, black holes have been created, and are sucking the EPG data info that is being beamed down from the satellite... ;)I am still on an old card, and noticed "no info" on PBS..... I agree something is wrong, but think it is unrelated to most of theories popping up.

Just wanted to add, I've had my new card in for at least a month and I am still having this problem. ABC and PBS HD losing guide, but others seems to drop in and out too. I on'y usually watch the HD channels, so I'm not sure if it's affecting SD channels at all.

Same problem here. ABCHE and W and PBSHE always show the problem; others on an apparently random occasional basis. It does not seem to be affecting any of the SD channels.

This is NOT a switch problem as I have had this problem since switching to a smartcard...what a joke...

CBS and ABC...no info on 9200...nice...6100 is fine...so are the 3100's

i was having the same issue. the 2 ABC HD channels and 1 PBS HD channel were showing No Info Available for about the last 4 days. i called Bell a few times, but they just did the usual, unplug, reboot, check switch thing with no resolution.

tonight the new firmware downloaded and the problem has been resolved.

I spoke to Nabill to day Senior Technician with Bell.
The incomplete EPG guide is a known issue with them.
He does not know when the new software V222 will be issued but it will be sometime within the next three weeks The revised software should fix the problem.

I'm seeing some weirdness the past few days on the 9200, installed new card about a month ago.

pbs -e shows No Info Available. Sometimes I can't right arrow past the start of the No info section. Always though, if I go ahead an hour or so into the No Info Section then left arrow back, the guide jumps ahead for the full 9 days !!

So, click "guide", 819, right, right, can't go past No info.
up arrow to 820, right, right, right, right, down, left, left, left - guide jumps to Wednesday 17/9
today is the 8th !! That's a new behaviour

Anyone else able to duplicate this ??

Ah, you got the new Bell TV feature, the "9 Day No Info Guide", just perfect......

It is almost acting like a Virus, is this 'no info' thing.....

As of 10pm Toronto time I am still on V221. Perhaps Bell releases the new firmware in stages to different parts of the country. I understand the downloads occurr at 3am local time.

There is no change in my guide still the same problems with ABC and PBS

Poor communication within Bell. Same problem here with the EPG info missing, but in my case they decided that my new smart card was defective, and went to the expense of sending me a new one. Of course the problem remains -- as expected. My CSR claimed that V221 is current, and V222 will not affect the EPG problem. He did admit that the EPG issue is a known issue, and that it should be solved within the next few days. Meanwhile, at least the EPG info is available for the SD ABC channels.

I'm getting "No Info" for ABC HD (E+W) and PBS HD E beyond about 2 hours.

I tried check switch, then re-loaded the EPG... no difference.

But, dm_4u, I've got a full 9 days of info for CBS HD E+W. Let me know if you want me to look up anything in the EPG for ya!:D

I've had the same issue lately with my 9200. Anyone else find it strange that it only seems to be the 9200's that are affected?

Mine has also been rebooting itself lately.

Argh, my 9242 will not stop rebooting anymore. I've yet to get the new smart cards either.

It seems to turn off. Suddenly the fans go full speed for about a minute, then the green light turns on. 'Bout a minute later the fans stop, but the green light turns off too. I hit the power button, nothing. I press the power button on the receiver, nothing. I reset it manually, same result. The damn thing will not turn on anymore.

What the heck is going on?

mine has been rebooting too...but all this has only started AFTER I installed their "smart" card...

I can't say for sure that the smart card swap had anything to do with my reboots because it was about 5 weeks after replacing the card that my 9200 started to have the problems.
