Solid chrome wheel to the rear?

Hey there,

Your thoughts on a solid chrome wheel to the rear and a Renegade costume (Yukon, whistler, Cinci, etc) to the front on a 2010 Street Glide.

My thoughts are: You can't see much of the wheel on the rear, and what you can see, I think a solid piece will look much nicer. And why spend $$$$ on the rear when can't see much of it on a bagger anyway.

I know several people who have done that and it looks just fine. As you mentioned, you can't really see the rear wheel so why spend the money...unless you are planning on entering it into bike shows.

BTW, what Renegade wheel did you get for the front?

Someone else asked this question just a few days ago and I voted for doing a solid wheel for cost and easier cleaning. I was the odd man out because everyone else said to get the matching wheel...

I can tell you from 1st hand expierence that it would be easier to clean a solid wheel on the rear! I think the solid rear looks good on my buddy's bagger. I like my wheels to match but I do enter into a couple shows a year. I say go for it!

why do people say you can't really see it? BS!! I see it and it looks like chit (to me) my .02c

I say do it right if you can afford it, if not then do it I guess, but don't be fooled you can't see it.

this bike has ext bags AND its slammed.... can you see it?

When I finally do wheels I will prolly go for either a solid rear or a chromed Fat Boy wheel with the rivets around the outside edge. As long as there is a little bling showing under the bags I am fine.
