Im aware of the 2 routes into the British army. Soldier or direct entry as a commissioned officer. Im also aware that if you join as a soldier you could still become a commissioned officer. So my question is, is there a specific rank you have to be at (for exmple would you have to be a warrant officer) before you could put youself forward to become a commissioned officer, or could you apply to go to the officers course at Sandhurst after your minimum 4 years service?
