Software upgrade

I've tried a hundred times to Update my software at TM and all I get is back to the SHOP PHONES pages over and over again.

Enter phone number . . . yada, yada, right back to shop phones again.

I am about done with TMOBILE.

Any suggestions?

I at v4.2 and would like to try the new handheld software.

All this . . . it's insane. The only thing wose are the reps at our local TM store in MDR, CA.

Tried following all the links from both sites for TM.

All you do is get passed right back through to "upgrade /by a new phone," even after you have entered your telephone number to get to their software.

Click on "hand held software" and see where it gets you - an endless loop to upgrade my phone, re-enter password, etc.

Well they have sent me 3 wi-fi routers in a row that don't work. Finally just went and bought the same router at the store - plugged the one in without the Tm branding and - bingo!!! works just like it's supposed to.


It is absolutely insane!!!
 
If you want to upgrade the OS and have trouble with T-Mo, try the 1st link I posted above and get the OS for your device there. Then follow exactly the instructions posted in the 2nd link I posted. Forget T-Mobile and just use one that's suppled by another carrier. It's legal and many of us do it.

Not sure what is happening to you but I have downloaded dozens of TMO updates with out any issues....are you entering through your MyTMobile page?

You might want to try another carrier OS from one of JB's links and see if you have more success...
Looks like 4.5.0.81 is the newest.
 
Maybe the links on your computers work differently but when I click on any link above - first, second . . . whatever - it leads only to the damn TM crap and then it keeps asking for my cell number, password and keep trying to sell me another bloody phone.

Try you own links - I get only to TM From the actual BB site TM!

From this boards links TM! Even cleared the cache, the cookies, etc.

Try your own links - see what happens.

As we've stated, we're not having any trouble. When I go to the T-Mobile site, log in and select "system upgrade" in the "your Blackberry from" box, I GET THE OS and Hand held software choices!
 
Why don't you just yet another CDMA OS. You'll have to delete your vendor.xml file tho on your pc. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
Yes, I get the hand held software choices as well, but when I click on the software for the hand held (8320) - it loops right back to the "sell me an upgrade phone screen."

Yeah, I just get another companies operating system. Was just trying to do it right.
