Software to sync with all "Contacts" Fields

Hi everyone,

Just joined, wonderful forum. I just bought myself a Palm TX, my first PALM in 10 years. My issue is not TX-specific, though; it relates to the PALM platform:

I am using Outlook 2003, and I find when I sync my PALM TX with my Outlook Contacts database, not all the fields filled out in Outlook are represented in the PALM, some get left behind.

Is there any program out there that will allow a complete synchronisation with all the fields of OUTLOOK? Preferably a free program, but a shareware or commercial program will be acceptable.

Thank you, and looking forwasrd to a reply, please ...

Software to sync with all "Contacts" Fields

I really haven't tried this program but try this:

1. go to www.palmgear.com
2. search for Beyond COntacts
3. You will see the result for Beyond Contacts 3.008
4. Here is a description of the program
-Beyond Contacts is everything you need in one program to manage your Outlook? information, from appointments and contacts to e-mail and scheduling. Just sync and have all your Outlook fields and data for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes on the handheld - down to the very last detail.

5. it's for a price though ;)

Be warned that Beyond Contacts does not sync with the internal databases on your Palm which are read by the built in apps. It establishes it's own databases. This can be a pain if you switch back to the built ins or some other PIM app that uses the built ins. You may want to see if you can solve your problem by opening up "Custom" from the Hotsync icon in the task bar. Open the "Contacts" conduit and click on "Settings", then click on "Advanced". This will open a menu which will allow you to map Otlook fields to the 9 user definable fields on the Palm. I've never used this before as i haven't needed the additional fields, but it may do what you need.

KeySuite by Chapura would be my recommendation over Beyond Contacts but it too does not sync with the native databases. There is no program that I'm aware of that will sync with the native Palm databases and include all of the Outlook fields - it simply can't happen.

Agendus by Iambic uses the native databases (which I use) and provides some more functionality then the native programs but it too does not sync all fields......KeySuite would be my recommendation if you need all of that.
