Sociologist on the Nature Nurture Debate?

Who do sociologist favor in the Nature/ nurture debate? Nature or Nurture.



Also would you say that it is true that the sociological perspective reveals that people's lives are mostly a result of what they decided to do.
 
No one with any brain at all takes that "debate" seriously. Clearly, we are born with traits and inclinations; clearly our experience influences us. It's absurd to think ONLY one of those factors exists.

No, that's not an accurate characterization of sociologists I've read or heard of. One thing sociologists study is how the roles we have effect our behavior; another is how the groups we belong to effect our behavior.
