social environment question?

hello i am doing a report on social environment
and i was wondering if some of u could give me your opinion on how the social environment impact on the aging process?
and would u think it promotes higher development

while technology allows us to live longer, this in turn puts a greater impact on resources as there is more population to support. As times goes on we will be supporting an ever increasing aging society that requires more health care and other support.
