Soap opera couples ~ come discuss who you like and dislike

Oh without a doubt my favorite soap couple was the original Billy & Mackenize on the Young and the Restless.

And then they recasted them and made them cousins. :rolleyes: I've never been able to ship soap opera couples since then.
 
:lmao: I love Carly and Lulu. Lion can be hilarious together too.:P

I don't think any soap couple is ever gonna make it to that level anymore.:shrug:
 
My favorite soap couples would be:

J.R. and Babe (All My Children)- Never liked her with Jamie.
Zach and Kendall (All My Children)- Love them together though I don't mind her with Ryan since I loved them since they first got together but I really love her and Zach together.
Rex and Adriana (One Life To Live)- I think they make a cute couple though I don't watch the show that much.)
Sonny and Brenda (General Hospital)- I love them together. They are my favorite couple and character's on the show. I really feel like they were just meant to be and soulmates.
Jason and Liz (General Hospital)- I originally, am a Jason and Sam fan but ever since Sam slept with Ric. I really, want those two to end up together.
Jonathan and Tammy (Guiding Light)- Even though, their cousin's I love them together and think they have great chemistry.

I know right?! :rolleyes: I honestly dont get how her knocked up by ONS could cause some epic love story or something?! :confused: I mean if this happens in real life, seriously, let me tell you, a husband would be one to help her raising another man's child, but the father of her child wouldn't want to be in a relationship with her enough for the child, but sticks with his current relationship. But after all it's the writers who drink too much kool-aid to write something like that. Getting pregnant after ONS can get yourself another love fairytale romance? Seriously, give me some break! :rolleyes: What you just said last statement, WORD! :lol:

You're gonna hate me, but I think Tom's overrated. One of the worst offenders of overacting and scenery chewing I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. Subtlety? Not in his vocabulary. :rolleyes: I am relieved that on the few occasions that I tune in to Guiding Light I won't be greeted with the sight of his scary mug anymore. :eek: And you do realize they're cousins right? :look: Er, just checking. :lol: *ducks rotten fruit*
 
Yeah, they did have that dark and stormy vibe that Spuffy did. And they shared some pretty steamy scenes together too. :thud: Unlike with Veronica/Logan, I approve of this comparison to my beloved OTP of all time. :P :lol: I also thought SB's Carly and Jason was similar to Spike/Buffy too, but with the genders switched. Tee hee.
 
Yeah, well, I can barely take Lulu seriously with her Carly 2.0 ways either. :P At least her and Spinelli can sometimes be amusing. I just don't see Lulu in a serious romantic pairing that follows in her family's footsteps, e.g Lucky/Liz 1.0 or Luke 'n' Laura. She certainly won't reach such epic proportions with Dillon that's for sure. Sowwy.
 
ITA! jack/jennifer were one of the greatest couples on soaps IMO. And max/abby feel like a total JJ ripoff. It just doesn't work though because:

- As much as ashley benson and darrin brooks are awesome they cannot recreate the amazing chemistry that matt and missy had. No way

-Max/Abby dont have any common ground as far as I can see. Jack/Jennifer had literature and poetry and journalism - the paper. Max/Abby have... a garage?

-Max is not Jack. Max is not as clever or as witty or as... anything as Jack was. To think you could even compare the two isn't even fathomable

-Max/Abby dont have the banter that JJ did. And thats an integral part of what made JJ in the beginning.

-With JJ the age difference was cute because Jen was more of a working girl then. In this case though, NO

Ugh, it just really annoys me that they want to recreate JJ but they're attempt is so halfhearted its pathetic. Max/abby make nice frienRAB. I like that they can be there for each other and in that way their relationship is endearing. But can you imagine them getting hot and heavy? EW. It would be like incest
