$10,100. I feel sorry for the idiot who's going to pay THAT much for one.

lol @ market share. wtf do you know about business?
larger market share does not correlate to being more profitable.
and wtf do you know about the true cost of manufacturing a console? unless you work for Sony or Microsoft in the capacity of doing their costing then you don't know shit.

no

I understand about the whole buying of products and all for playstation. But on the xbox, i don't know anybody that has an unmodded one, so their goes a large sum of money. And they are soon going to have a mod chip for the 360. If you making a product, selling it for under production cost, and everybody is by passing buying games, i just don't see how they survive on that business venture.

This sounds nothing like what I have heard.

The initial launch in Japan of 80K or so units was sold out in a day and a half. The cuts to the US market were to divert more stock back to Japan and Sony's home market.

100K a week is far too high an estimate for any time this year. There are those saying that any more shipments this year will be less than 200K in total and there is possibility no new stock (beyond initial orders before they were cut) will be availabe until as late as March next year.

I don't believe the March thing but I don't think many more will make it into the US this year.
