so you guys think the dare is the best phone for cricket right now?

cool so i will grab a rom from the kitchen, i need to match my bootloader right? should i mod my esn before or after the flash?

if you could give me a basic list to follow "not a guide" that would be great, like

1. grab a kitchen rom

2. hex esn

3. flash iphone theme etc

just a basic order of the best way to flash, thanks, i have been flashing/hex'n v3's forever

wap and mms on that fone are cake if u know where all the settings go i own one and the 6800my wifes and they both have wap and mms there are tutorials everywhere as for me i flash my 6700 every 2 weeks when the kitchen usually fixes bugs and/or release new versions of the 6.1 wm rom so i know the settings by heart if u want a detailed instructions i can provide them for u just let me know but its a good fone and i def recommend a storage card and if u can u can put up to an 8gb card in wit the sdhc drivers for windows mobile the 6700 bootloader does not have to be unlocked but u need to make sure u that u have the latest radio which ia 1.43 when u boot the phone down at the bottom in red letters it will tell u what version radio and rom u have i suggest u flash the radio first the the rom the radio is below so use it wisely u need to put the phone in bootloader mode and make sure u a activesync 4.5 or windows mobile device center 6.1 (vista users) to be able to flash and sync the phone to get the phone in bootloader push and hold the notes button(looks like a tape cassette) on the left and the power button at the top then press the reset button in the hole on the bottom left the version bootloader is at the bottom flash and enjoy the new radio then after u hard reset put back into bootloader and flash rom

Apache Radio 1.43

ok, couple issues i am having, i have changed the esn to my current v3m on cricket esn, entered it backwarRAB like it should be,

i updated the prl with a 1050 cricket prl i used for my v3m "dont know if the xv6700 neeRAB a different prl for the 6700?" it loaded anyways,

i changed the mid # to my local cricket #, if i dial *228 i do not hear anything over the speaker, it just says call failed, task bar says no service.

i am trying to dot he bootloader menu now but when i hit those buttons it just turns the phone off and its a black screem

thanks for the help

well i think i almost bricked it, it keeps rebooting, sigh

ok got it in BL mode, the radio is upgrade'n now, hopefully this will fix whatever is going on....

ok radio updated, everything appears to be back to normal. any ideas on getting cricket working? thanks bro

well to get it on cricket u need to load the prl through epst by dialing ##778 send from the fone got to the prl tab and browse to the prl on ur phone or the storage card then make sure u change the sid to ur local one have esn change done list fone as razr2 on cricket and then *228 that should at least get it on cricket for calling and texting

ive tried, that, for some reason it says no service, when i dial anything there is no sound through the earpiece and it hangs up after like 3 secs or so and says "cannot complete the call, the signal may be unavailable or bad phone nuraber"

shrugz...

is there a cricket rom for radio 1.43 i can flash it with maybe?

i have flashed prl, entered min/sid. etc, it seems like i should get a roaming message when i dial something but notta, nothing through the speaker

heres the update ->

new vx6700 owner here, every time i boot the phone the radio/phone is switched off, i have flashed 2-3 cricket prl's with qpst, i never can get a tower signal, when i try to dial i hear nothing on the speaker and it gives me a pop up msg saying check my phone nuraber etc.. no signal...

i have programmed the sid/nam, flashed with a cricket rom, nothing works, i have reset the device over and over, when it was verizon branded i got no signal either.

for signal meter it has a small round dot with a line through it,

anyone have any ideas? thanks, i am on radio v1.43 verizon branded phone

thanks
