I'm fifteen years old, and I got my braces on early last year. I'm getting them off next year. My dentist noticed that my wisdom teeth are coming in a little too fast - and suggested getting them removed as soon as my braces come off. She says the timing will be perfect, so the pain will be minimized quite a bit. Of course, I'm afraid of the pain.
I used to be terrified of needles, especially in my mouth. This fear has (honestly) drastically died down for me, but my parents don't believe that - I heard about a drug they give you if you're afraid. Please explain it to me... like, is it to help one calm down?
My doctor also mentioned that I would be completely put under for the procedure. That's the best option, right? Please explain the pain / risks to me, for those who have experience with the removal of wisdom teeth. All input is appreciated, thank you!
