I just read on the AT&T site that it will work with your old voice plan too. You just need to pony up another 20 bucks for unlimited data- which I already am paying for. So if I wanted to get the iPhone, it wouldn't cost me any more on my plan

I've seen it. Sony always fails at this marketing attempt. Like i say. i don't need mp3 on my phone. just someone to call when stranded on the highway right now. I'm sure I will aquire such technology eventually because. Well.. I'm a guy.

btw if it had more storage, a removable battery, 3g, some additional storage, better pricing, and we wouldnt have to wait weeks/months for firmware updates just to get the standard features that every other phone on the market already has, it might be a good phone

not true, you can have any phone you want with zero data if you like, the only phones with mandatory plans are iphones, now no one in their right mind wouldnt get a data plan with a pda phone

AT&T's capital to help apple make the phone a reality is why its that way, AT&T paid a very pretty penny to be the only iphone vendor for 5 years!

even jobs would have to admit that the huge engineering costs in roaming into this entirely new market needed to be offset
