I know a building can have CCTV directly outside the toilets; to see who goes in and out. And it seems legal for a building to have CCTV in the bathrooms; where people wash their hands etc.
But is it legal to put a CCTV camera in a cubicle or in any position that would give it line of sight to a person inside a cubicle? Please tell me it isn't.
It seems people in charge of ‘security’ are going as far as possible with CCTV so it's vital that we know what they can and can't do - and at the moment the law seems a bit fuzzy in this area.
One minute they can film us washing our hands after taking a dump; the next they can film the act itself. I don't know - what can they do?
Maybe a weird question I know, but I felt like asking it.
