So what would have been your top 5 funny movies of all time?

Bit of a personal choice, this:

1. Helpmates (Laurel & Hardy, 1932)
2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
3. Up In Smoke (Cheech & Chong, 1978)
4. Blazing Saddles (Mel Brooks, 1974)
5. The Blues Brothers (John Landis, 1978)

Plus any other movies by the above (with the exception of C&C) would feature highly in my top 100.

Honourable mention (sic): Carry On, The Marx Brothers, Zucker Brothers pre-Scary Movie, Guest House Paradiso (Ade EdmonRABon, 1999)

He was great in Die Hard 4.0.

1. Don't be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood
2. Hot Shots! Part Deux
3. Happy Gilmore
4. Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult
5. Honey, I Shrunk the KiRAB

Very difficult to choose. I guess I'd have to say the best movies are those which are consistently funny on subsequent viewings. The South Park movie, for example, had me in tears of laughter when I first saw it but I don't find it so funny now.

Films I still cry laughing at are:

1. Airplane!
2. The Music Box
3. Life of Brian
4. Carry On Up the Khyber
5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off

1 A Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum

2 Twelve Chairs

3 The Wrong Box

4 Life of Brian

5 Dr Strangelove

1st reserve "Carry on Screaming"

You've all missed the funniest film in existence:

1. Withnail and I
and my final four....

2. Dr Strangelove
3. Something about Mary
4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
5. Clerks
