I liked it. The whole thing, even.
It was always fun to watch. If I saw it on now, I'm sure I'd drop whatever I was doing to watch it.

I'm going to say the annoying over-the-top voice acting is why they were awesome.

What about Stacy? I thought she was a fan-favorite because she didn't act like Tiffany, Sandi, or Quinn (though Quinn was still better than Tiffany and Sandi) I actually felt sorry for Stacy because of how much Sandi treated her like crap. I cheered when Stacy finally stood up for herself near the end of the series.

I didn't watch it religiously but did enjoy it when I did catch it.
However, a few seasons in she started to grate on me. I don't know if it was a change in writing/performance or just I had reached a limit, but Daria went from intelligent girl above the nonsense of high school drama, to bitter, snarky know-it-all. A very fine line to try to walk, I know.
It didn't help that after a while her voice performance seemed to cross that line as well. The sarcastic sing-songy reading of every.single.line wore me down. Again, I don't know if there was an actual change or I had simply had my fill.
