Well if that is the case, why do people b*tch gripe, and complain about us "playing god"? If we were made in its image, wouldn't that give us the right?
Firstly, define that statement "playing god"; what does that even mean? Why no uproar over people "playing elves" or Santa Clause, or similar imaginary entities?
Secondly, assuming god is real, and we are in "his" image, then acting as he does is perfectly justifiable. If we can "play god" and slaughter millions in his name, why can't we play god in more constructive and beneficial pursuits? (genetics, space colonization, etc)
Thirdly, would we not be our own "gods"? We are only hindered and bound by the laws of physics. Outside of those fairly concrete and reliable laws (which only break down in very special circumstances/instances) we manufacture our own destiny without hindering ourselves based on primitive, ancient texts.
So why all the complaining?
