.......the more i HATE audioslave, HATE the lead singer of RATM and his constant repetition, and ABSOLUTELY LOVE Soundgarden & Chris Cornell's pre-Audioslave lyrical talent + wailing.

Cornell i think has really softened as far as his lyrics go in the latest Audioslave album. I personally dispise the new album..... the audioslave self titled album was good, at best, but this is shit.

RATM, or more importantly, the band, when in RATM, was pretty rockin. Once again, the Audioslave album had some good rockin' sections, but Out Of Exile sounRAB like they are really struggling to come up with new material.

The lead singer of RATM.... Zach something.... gets really annoying after about 10 seconRAB of listening to him.... but thats all you need each song, because he repeats the same 4 lines 23 times.

The recent Audioslave release is pathetic. It's almost pop music in some points...

You would think between Tom Morello and Chris Cornell, they'd be able to come up with some really unique, challenging material. But all they were able to pull off were standard, straight-ahead rock songs that are terribly boring and predictable.

Where is the fire that fueled the music behind past RATM releases? Where is that passion? And more importantly, where the hell did Cornell's Plant-like wail go? I don't mind the new Gravelly-sounding Chris, but does he have to be so damn cheerful and boring on the new disc?

I will continue listening to my old Soundgarden discs as well, and think back to those better days.
 
The moment I heard Loud Love over 15 years ago I knew I was hooked on Soundgarden. RATM was a good band... would have been better had Zack not had an agenda up his ass. I am not a fan of Audioslave, but I am a fan of Chris Cornell so I respect it. I often wonder how difficult it would be to pry Matt away from Pearl Jam for a reunion. I am sure Kim and Ben are waiting patiently in the wings.
