We've always been a nation of states. Matter of fact it was an even bigger "shit pile" than it is now due to true state's rights.

it's more united now than ever before, but luckily we are seeing state politicians with some balls who are saying enough.
 
Ok why don't we just give TX, AZ, CA, and NM to Mexico. So Mexicans can take their homeland back that Whitey took from them some 150yrs ago.
