So, so, so sick

Tuesday I was supposed to go in to work. Felt like shit, went in, got sent home, puked... a lot. Yesterday felt icky, but better. That leaves today. Today, I had to go to Duluth (about a 2 hour drive one way) for CPR and First Aid certification for work. No big. I don't feel great, but I go anyway.

I get there and I feel really sick. I'm not sure I'll make it through. By some miracle, I do. Then, I get about 20 minutes out of Duluth and I need to pull over, NOW. Needless to say, rest stops are not the nicest places to up chuck at.

Then I get home and Mom yells at me because apparently everything I do pisses her off. The smell of dinner is too much and I go hide in my room. Now, I am so miserably sick. I'd say I was sick as a dog, but if a dog were this sick, I'd put it out of it's misery.

Just thought I'd share my lovely week.

Oh noes! Plenty of fluids if you've got it. We would suggest a tincture that we made, but by the time that it finished steeping (about a week) you might be over the flu.

Oh wow, Mag...I really hope you only got the regular flu! Just last week my whole family got sick, and they were convinced it was swine flu. Luckily they recovered within a few days, so it wasn't. I wish you to have that same sort of luck (I know being sick is a shitty deal, but you know what I'm saying hopefully). In the meantime, take a lot of meds and drink a shit-ton of orange juice/eat a lot of oranges and crackers. That's what I did when I started feeling funky (about the only thing I could keep down actually :-|).

Feel better soon! You don't want me to have to start telling jokes in an effort to make you feel better, trust me. I have a talent for getting people out of bed just to get away from my humor :tongue2:

Now, if you were someplace where I knew you, I could make fun of you in some way, like how your pale complexion really compliments the white of your socks, or what a wonderful singing voice you must have now.

Hope you're feeling better. Soon. Like, NOW.

One year I was the only one that didn't get a stomach flu or something when EVERYBODY got it all at once. I spent a couple of weeks retrieving groceries and meds for a wide variety of friends and families because no one could stand up without falling over or puking almost spontaneously. I caught a bug a couple of years ago that could have earned me a spot on any Vomit For Distance team. It sucks.

Thanks for the warm wishes. I'm starting to feel better today. RunningDeer, what a ... special story about the flu.

I can't wait to be better. This seriously sucks.

Sorry to hear that you're sick. I know it's no fun. I had the swine flu about a month ago. Certainly not the most wonderful thing. But fluids and rest is about all you can do. Get well soon. :>

Vomiting is nothing. Massive explosions of diarrhea is worse. And it sucks when you don't know what caused it too. As if I can remember every single thing I ate or every bacterial person I came into contact with. :happysad:

I think I just hang out with people who don't know how to heat up food properly; or eat at establishments that do that. It's not that bad though; I was just making it sound bad.
