New Egyptian freedom for the Muslim brotherhood I made the point that we were celebrating something that clearly may well come back and bite us in the ass.
 
Yeah, and its a good thing hes gone. I'm just putting my money on it turning into a mid 90's afgan situation after the fall of the communist govt. A power vacuum is never a good thing.

Unless they get some solid leadership quick.

of course it was justified. I mean the oil tycoons and the "war necessities" contractors made billions, while enjoying a FAT tax break. The people got to enjoy more expensive gas and lose their loved ones to a war w/o a cause...

Oh, yes, actually, the rebels are aligned with (and in some cases, actually merabers of) Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabob. The primary instigators of the rebellion were the tribal leaders of the tribe which was previously running things until Gaddaffi killed his way into power, but basically all the other major tribes are involved because Gaddaffi was seen as being anti-islamic because of his cooperation with us anti-terror efforts.

However, they owe their success entirely to the CIA and other western black ops, so we do have some degree of leverage with them. But... no, the rebels are not exactly the kind of guys you would bet on putting together a good country.
