so....now that wii is out, how are the graphics? REALLY?

Graphics, AI, and physics are ALL offered by the 360/PS3 over the Wii. You can't tell me that being able to read signs without selecting them and zooming in (Zelda) isn't convenient and adds to immersion.

The AI and physics are very important for gameplay, because it increases the challenge and strategy involved.

The ultimate machine would be a Wii with 720p, but Nintendo didn't choose to go that route. Next gen we will have a Wii 2 with 720p no doubt, so that is when the controller will really shine, with advanced physics and graphics to match the new controller.

A few friends of mine were over drinking and we wii bowled for hours last night, and had a great time. My XBox has better looking titles by far but we wii bowled instead.

fun games + novel/good gameplay > stunning 3D graphics.

I will probably get a 360 next year some time but I could not justify the expense of a PS3, no matter how great it looks. The Wii is just plain fun.

It's not, and people don't seem to understand that while Zelda may be the Wii's crowning acheivement right now ... it was developed 99.99% as a Gamecube title. The two share a processor platform, so the port was easy. They did some re-dev for the Wii-version, but they only redid the control scheme ... which I have to say is awesome.

Wii graphics will never = PS3 or 360. Give it some time, they will be greater than PS2 and XBox.

Compare apples to apples people. Zelda wasn't ever made to push or even use the Wii's graphical upgrades. Of course it won't look better than the Gamecube, that's what it was designed on.

the whole point of the wii is to not do "more of the same". oh the ironies.

zelda is a good franchise. no one gives a shit that you stopped playing it in the 80s. it's not like they've made the same game over and over.

get an av.

im in love with my wii right now. its the only system ive ever had on launch day (i was bashing it until the day before launch) and im in love with it. its a fun system even when your not playing games (see the Mii thread) and its the only system ive had where i was actually excited to go and get more games for it.

and about the 360 and ps3 being able to have good gameplay too, no one said they wouldnt. its just so much fun to play games with this controller that it really sets it apart. nintendo has always had good gameplay on their systems, and now that they have a new controller that makes shitty games fun (wii sports) should tell you something. if a game like wii sports came with your 360 or ps3, ill bet 90% of you wouldnt even put it in to try it out.

i say it depends what you do. if you're going to be by yourself, i wouldnt buy a wii. i'd rather have the graphics and online capability to occupy myself. but, that's not me. i dont sit around alone in a dark room and jerk off all day while i'm online killing shit. i'd rather have some friends over and pre-game/get drunk while we play the wii before we go out for the night. i cant wait for super smash bros...
