are they as shitty as everyone says? I just hope they are significantly better than ps2/xbox. Or are they bad enough where someone would see them and be like "what gamecube game is that?"
 
I have a widescreen tv & my wii games have black bars on the top & bottom



basically, it's presented in widescreen with no misshapen shit.

They are fucking awful. Trauma Center isn't even in 16x9, and the new Rayman is in 480i.

Seriously, I have seen higher quality graphics on many Xbox games, like Ninja Gaiden.
 
I'm totally stoked on my Wii, its fun to play. Zelda is amazing, and yah it looks like a PS2 game, only 10 times more fun.
 
and then comparing a 5 year old system to one release 10 hours ago as a disadvantage

the worst ps3/xbox360 launch game still looks 10x better than the best ps2/xbox game.
 
seriously... these n-fanboys are ridiculous... i bought a wii and zelda and im enjoying it for what it is... it has pretty bad graphics but i still like it.. i dont have to justify myself all the time due to insecurities

people these days don't know shit about fuck when it comes to real games...

back in the NES/SNES/Genesis/Master System days, games looked terrible, but they're fun as shit and people will play the fuck out of them even today, for hours on end.

graphics don't make a game... and the majority of shit on the PS3/360 aren't real games, they're fucking rehashes of older games that either a: got their start on a Nintendo or Sega based console in the 80s and 90s, b: FPS games that are basically copies of one another with different colors, or c: a fuckton of revamped sports games that are STILL topped by games such as Gretzky's Hockey and Tecmo Superbowl as far as fun factor is concerned ...

You talk about rehashes? Take a look at the Contra series, Final Fantasy series, Metal Gear, Castlevania... its the same shit different graphics/consoles...

But I tell you what, without rehashes, video games wouldn't be nearly as fun as they are.

There are some games around that I would never even consider playing because its all about flashiness of graphics and less about overall gameplay.

This goes for Nintendo as well to be honest, some games are pretty blah and boring...

However, when you break out something like Zelda, you really cannot compare it to anything else. You're a fucking moron for saying Wii has nothing but shittastic graphics and Mario and Zelda games...

the most popular games are continuations of games...and you're a goddamn moron not to see it...

GTA, Gran Tourismo, Halo, Unreal, Metal Gear, any sports title, and damn near any fucking war game ever...

It's no different whereever you go for gaming.
 
The Wii's graphics and processor are basically an overclocked version of the Gamecube's. It should still be capable of pushing out something that looks better than anything made on the XBOX at least.
 
Bullshit. I'm having more fun with games on my Wii than anything I've played on 360. That's what seperates Nintendo from Microsoft and Sony, they make games that are fun.
