So nervous to leave family for sleepaway camp?

Hi. I'm 12 and a half years old.
I'm very close to my family (sister, brother, mother, father)
and i'm very scared to leave them. i go to camp on july 26th... for 4 weeks. (first time going)
i don't wanna cry when they drop me off. becauase sif i cry... that would be embarassing =[[[ and i dont wanna leave them but i wanna have fun at camp
& i dont wanna be homesick bc then i might cry & i dont wanna embarass myself/
help?
 
You will be so distracted with all the fun your having at camp, don't worry. And if you are that scared bring a cellphone and call whenever you are feeling lonely. :[
 
All you can do is enjoy the time you have with your family. When you go to camp, try not to be mopey when the day starts. Make some friends and find your cabin. You'll make friends their who are probably going through the same thing as you.
