I had my xbox standing vertically, and accidentally knocked it over while I was playing. Immediately I stood it back up and turned the system off, but it was too late My game is now all scratched up and I was only 30% complete, is there any way I can return this to gamestop or fix it somehow?

Bullshit, you're retarded.

There's a stupid fucking thing in the sticking up in the DVD drive (I think to sense if the console is vert or horiz) and if you tilt it while the disk is in and spinning the disk will contact this thingy and make a huge scratch on your DVD, in a perfect circle, because it goes around y'know, in a circle.

It wouldn't have mattered if you stood it back up or not, but you probably fucked up the disk even more.
