So...like what the heck happened to Hendrick Motor Sports this year?

All I heard last year was Jeff Gordon this and Jimmie Johnson that. Gordon and Johnson got into the top 12 in points during the Bristol race, but by the end, they already fell outside of the top 12. They sure don't seem like the same team as last year.
