So Kanye West basically put Daft Punk on the map

mainstream music is for giddy faggots, frat boys, prissy teens, and glib retarded losers. no wonder daft punk is doing way better without all that shit.

u must be a gucci mane fan. lil wayne much? where's ur auto tune box at?

listen... coming from a hardcore hip hop fan, kanye is garbage. total useless garbage. jay electronica, madlib, talib kweli, mos def, nickelus f, little brother, zion I, murs, justus league, U-N-I,...... kanye is nonexistent in comparison to all of these people (who are still doing things these days) please kill yourself.

kanye is a fucking failure to hip hop just as much as soulja boi is. obviously he has more talent but he cares more about prancing on stage and having a prissy lil argument with taylor swift.

daft punk on their own have been great. they don't need kanye fucking up their tracks to be noticed, if anything that brought on some bad light.

Really? Even the country music station? And the classic rock station?

I haven't heard Elvis on the local hip hop channel lately. Does that mean he sucks? Some of the greatest musicians alive will NEVER be heard on the station you listen to because they are of another genre...that may not even HAVE a radio station.

For those of us which actually listen to, study, and enjoy MUSIC daft punk deserves far more respect. They're not in the music industry to make it rain, drink high dollar alcohol, and put big shiny things on other things. They're in it for the music and the (still relatively) underground culture. In fact, at one point there was a shortage of CD's for consumers because daft punk wanted more vinyl prints to be spun at house clubs.

Here's a quote for you:

"Many record companies offered us deals. They came from everywhere, but we decided to wait--partly because we didn't want to lose control of what we had created. We turned down many record companies. We weren't interested in the money, so we turned down labels that were looking for more control than we were willing to give up. In reality, we're more like partners with Virgin."

Kanye was a no-name producer who was picked up by Jay-Z for one of his crappier albums which jettisoned him into desirability. In other worRAB, he rode coat tails in an era of true hiphop decline into hip-pop crap.
