No one's saying it's the end of the world, they're just saying that if this phone is so damn good, why doesn't it have the newest technology? Doesn't make any sense, really.
 
3g is a technology, all carriers are moving to it.

if apple/at&t want to make a phone that is 'cutting edge' why wouldnt they include 'cutting edge' technology that they already provide?

and there are a lot more 3g phones coming out for at&t as well as other carriers, it doesnt make sense that they wouldnt include 3g on this phone.
 
iPhone doesn't impress me at all. Not only is the design extremely similar to that of LG's KE850 but also its a whole bunch of old technology mashed together. So... the design really isn't that innovative... GUI? well i haven't seen it used so I will give them benefit of the doubt here. Technology? nah. nothing new here.

I thought Apple was supposed to be all about innovation. What is so innovative about a phone with a outdated 2 megapixel camera? And iPhone isn't even 3G/GPS? They don't even have expandability either. While countries such as Japan and Korea are implementing plans to switch out to 4G in less than a decade, here comes Apple with its seemingly-at-first-impressive iPhone.

I hope Cisco wins the TM case against Apple. Be ready to face the wrath of a team of lawyers backed by a two-hundred-billion-dollar-corporation.

On thing that pisses me off about Apple is its hypocritical way of doing business. Apple would go out of its way to sue every product with the word "pod" in it. Then, when it comes to releasing iPhone, which already was trademarked by Cisco long before its release, they decide to infringe on it. Doesn't this seem so fucking backwards to you?

I am sick of Jobs bitching about Gates/Windows/MS in EVERY Apple conference. Can't he take the fucking defeat? He goes on and on about it. Jesus, what a sore fucking loser. Yet people call Jobs the greatest CEO of all time, blah blah blah.

Way to choose Cingular as their carrier too.

Would you buy a phone (a huge phone that isn't even a smartphone) for 600 bucks with a 2 year contract with CINGULAR? The company that is known for the worst customer service?

Oh god, I can't wait until Steve Jobs pulls a gun on himself.
 
apparently you are too pussywhipped on fuckin technology...stop at a gas station and interact with a human being every now and then for directions buddy.
 
i'm not saying I don't want 3g in it, but not having it is far from the end of the world. 3 current phones, yet constant hate. wifi is on it, which is great, most don't offer it. edge is more than enough for mapping, googling etc.
