So im re-painting my room. What color should I choose?

I want my room to be like french themed. Or something like it. Im putting black and white pictures up of France. Im getting black and white curtains up. So what color should I choose?

I do not want pink or purple or yellow. I already have done those colors in my room.
Oh and im writing a quote in black on my wall. So nothing too dark.

light red would be cute, not pink but like a light red, or light green. i mean, do any color you want. it's not up to us. we're not the ones that are going to be spending all our time in your room. do it a color that makes you feel good and relaxed, so you feel good spending time in your room. You're room's a sanctuary of yourself, so reflect yourself in it. Make it a place you want to spend time int.
 
A greyish colored wall would look fab! i did the same thing and i had splashes of red one time. it made my room feel very clean cut and precise. hobby lobby has some great french themed decor at great prices!
