So i was on the phone with rockstar just now and the guy that answered...............

i went over a friends house who had gta for the 360 and it looked pretty shitty.

had a lot of texture pop-ins, and the city didn't look nearly as occupied.

edit: but i haven't had any problems w/my 40 gig

I call bullshit on this thread. I've spoke with them too and they were very open and straight forward about the problems and their forum is FULL of threads about it. They wouldn't try to hide it, and the OP is full of shit.

Oh and it isn't doing a damn thing to your PS3 retard, it's basically the game clashing with the PS3 (network?) hardware and faulting, disconnect from the network and your (single player) game will work fine.

holy shit....that makes complete fucking sense.

last night I went to fire up GTA on my main auto login and GTA would completely hang on the loading screen. Keeping in mind I already have more then 15 hours invested in this game at this point. So I was thinking.....great.....my save is corrupt...but in the of chacne its not I went ahead and copied it to one of my other profiles that is not connected to PSN. I then proceeded to delete the saves on my main profile knowing that would work and also knowing that I would have to start over. Nothing happened..the game still hanged at the loading screen. So then I deleted everything associated with GTA in this profile, and started over from scratch. So I had to endure the 4min install time again...yet afterwards....it hung again at the loading screen.

Well shit.....now its pissing me off. So just to test to see if my profile was somehow corrupting the game I went to my other profile that does not have PSN access...and low and behold......the shit loaded right up.

well, i called them once, i would call again but i was on the phone for about 30 min waiting, i know they heard of the problem, this dude is hiding it
