Probably a repost.

But if you read it (long I know) or even just skip to page 9 it blatantly states the 360's GPU is more efficient and could actually outperform the PS3 at 1080p resolution.




This is a fully comprehensive unbiased tech article examining both 360 and PS3 at the technical level what they are both capable of achieving and overall it states (while it depends on the developers making proper use of the hardware also) but the 360 will always have the graphical advantage over PS3.
 
only ps3s ive heard jam are demo units jammed in a box with no ventilation. i played my 8 hours non stop and not one problem at all. and this whole, 360 is better than ps3, blah blah blah, who really cares. ill base what i think is better on what the games end up being like. you can put an awesome video card in a pc, but if you dont support it correctly, it wont matter how much money that video card cost ya or how many supermolygons it can display
 
I know a bunch of people who have the ps3. O.T. doesnt equal the world.

Ps3 is a nice system. I have nothing against the 360 i bet its a good system as well. This 360 vs ps3 is getting old. If the 360 is better its not better by much.
 
i cant think of a single PC game that has been vertex shader limited. the article also fails to note the reason RSX is so light on vertex shading power is that cell can assist the RSX with vertex shaders if needed.

People who make threads like this fit in to one or more of the 3 categories below:

1. Fanboy either way, be it PS3 or Xbox 360
2. Are mad/jealous because they didn't get one or the other and now want to bitch and whine how one is better
3. Just downright have no lives and need thread material.

I have all 3 systems, because I like them all. They all have their ups and downs. None of my posts on any next gen console will ever be biased toward PS3 or 360, because I like them both equally

BTW, to anyone who judges their purchase off of one writer's interpretation of a system and it's specs, is an idiot, who should not be buying a console at all.

One more thing, people who are comparing PS3 and Xbox 360 graphics and saying how the 360 looks better, why don't we compare games that are out NOW for the 360, with games that are out NEXT YEAR this time, so both systems have atleast a year of development under their belts.

NO REAL SYSTEM ASSUMPTIONS CAN BE MADE UNTIL THEY ARE BOTH OUT FOR ATLEAST A YEAR OR MORE
 
my xbox360 has been pissed on by my cat, i have dropped it at least two feet in the air accidently(drunk) sits on my carpet and still plays like a champ. i wish i could find a ps3 but i cant. in any case 360 so far has been fucking great.
