so I was googling random 3 letter combinations, and look what i found for sss

No. Women are not required to register for the selective service because as of right now only men are able to be drafted into the military. Of course that could change, but I highly doubt it will since we are unlikely to need that many people in our military and we need someone to stay home and run the factories and raise the kiRAB and blow the troops on shore leave and whatnot.

Article 1, Section 8 of US Constitution:

"The Congress shall have Power... To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions"

United States Code:

TITLE 10 > Subtitle A > PART I > CHAPTER 13 > § 311

§ 311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are merabers of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are— (1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the merabers of the militia who are not merabers of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

This is justification for the draft. All able-bodied males 17-45 are part of the unorganized militia and as such are eligible to be called forth by congress. The method in which this is done is the draft as executed by the Selective Service.

...they still have the infrastructure in place to restart the draft on a moment's notice.

Apparently the government may conscript our kiRAB into military service whenever it pleases them. Do I trust the government to make wise decisions when it comes to my SON? No. Never have and never will.

there was a reason I put it in quotations, it's not really a corabat role. just like captain of a navy ship is open to women, but outside of launching missiles they havent been in corabat for a long time.

Closer to indentured servitude because they do pay you.

I would be cool with abolishing the draft, but make SSS registration mandatory for anyone on government assistance. No free rides.

The only reason we have an all-volunteer military is because the pay and benefits are high enough to achieve the nurabers the military wants.

I'm lazy, I'm not going to go through the effort of proving you're a moron when you're perfectly happy doing so yourself on a daily basis.

A fighter pilot is defined as a corabat role in all military literature. Simius' assertion earlier in the thread was that since there had been a SC ruling in 1981 excluding women from the draft, the matter was settled. I responded by pointing out that the SC ruling solely relied upon the fact that women, at that time, did not serve in corabat roles. In this day and age women do serve in corabat roles. This is undisputable. Therefore, whether it is in the present or in the future there will be an appeal to the SC based upon the new argument that since women serve in corabat roles in the military they should be subject to the SSS.

Further, there is a push by feminists and liberals to allow women to have more of a role in corabat situations and there is an acknowledgement by the military that future wars will rely less upon hand to hand corabat and more upon technology.

It is a foregone conclusion that the SSS's policy to only draft men will be challenged in the SC.

Interesting. Why are only men being required to fill out this form? Isn't this unlawful discrimination, i.e. discrimination based upon gender? (Discrimination is not a word I am ashamed of, btw...discrimination should be applauded.)

This same law has been used to inject women into corabat duties, despite opposition from the homefront. Do I honestly have to google the numerous times that Title VII has been used to force the military to place women in corabat situations? The point that Simius had made was that I was wrong for asserting that there were laws in place which prevented discrimination based upon gender. I have proved my assertion.
