...with this car. Should i buy it? I hear that this year of corolla's have an engine problem and burn LOTS of oil. I have seen it all over the internet that they have this problem. I want to buy an 02' corolla with 91k miles. Should i take the risk? and if i do buy the car, would the burning of oil be a huge and urgent problem?
 
hi you do not state what model the corolla is is it the last of the 112 series with either a 4afe or 7afe if so then they are a great all round car only problem is if you use the incorrect grade oil this also goes for the latter zze122 series using 1zzfe this motor is a vvti engine and they can have big problem's if you have not used the correct oil as this will block the vvti system and can cause major problems' with oil usage and loss of power
