So I should have know better when I got a PS3 for $560 on ebay

i sold my wii and had 50 dollars for shipping over night in the listing. the person that bought it lived on some mountain that was extremely hard to get to and i ended up paying 90 bucks for shipping a wii. made like 40 buck profit instead of 80

you paid $645 total, got it in 2-3 days and you're complaining?

once you factor in ebay fees, paypal fees, shipping fees, and sales tax, did the seller even make any money at all?

i'm just saying he got a really really really good deal. the total he paid was about the same as you'd pay in the store + tax

but i agree with everyone else there's no excuse for not shipping in another box

just to play devils advocate here, i just sold an iBook on eBay and although i put one day processing time, aka ship same day, eBay automatically adds in:

Domestic Handling Time
Will usually ship within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment.

So basically, I will never overnight anything since it takes 3-4 days to get the money into my bank account.

Shipping method is usually specified as well, if not, you should have asked.

Brown paper is a

Although, I did just send out the iBook in the box it came in...It's used though so I'm not too worried. Insurance helps too.

I sent him this email

Dear Sir

I am writing to you to express the dissatisfaction I have with my purchase of the 20gb Playstation 3 you had for sale on ebay. While I understand that nowhere in the auction did it say the item would be shipped overnight, for an $85 shipping charge I wrongly assumed it would be shipped overnight, but that is not the reason I am writting.

In your auction you stated "Item will be shipped out the same day that the payment is received." I sent you instant payment via PayPal at 2:15pm on 12/5 but you did not ship the item until the afternoon of the 6th. Additionally now having received the item, I am further irritated by the lack of packaging that my $85 paid for. Only using brown paper could have allowed damage to occur to the item during transit. I feel the proper shipping method would have been to use a larger box and some bubble wrap and/or packing peanuts to protect the item. This is the least I would expect for such a valuable item.

As a result I am requesting the return of $40 of the fee I paid for shipping as I feel the remaining $45 will still be plenty to cover the Priority shipping you used, the sparse packing material, and any fees from ebay.

Please use PayPal to send me the funds at the email address **@*********.com

Thank You
