I would really love to ballroom dance in competion, but I have a few questions.
1. Am I to old to start? (Im thirteen) I take dance lesons, but never ballroom.

2. How do I find a partner/teacher? Do we ussually do this in group classes? Im really naiive as you can tell.

3. How do I get started competing?

4. Any tips?

Hahaha this is a really long question, an answer to all or any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Many ballroom competitors didn't start until they were adults. I know one lady who first took lessons in her eighties and was competing in her early nineties! One of the things about ballroom is that it's also social, and you won't get too old to dance it, or look stupid (hip hop and gray hair don't really mix).
Start with your local studios. You may even want to try a "pro-am" competition to test the waters while you're looking for a partner, which is always a challenge. You'll meet people, and you can get one simply by being available and lucky. Your instructor can recommend additional coaching and help you start competing. I haven't looked at USADance's website, but they may have a local chapter that can help, too.
