so I just finished watching the next gen console comparison video on gamrtrailers.com

America! Fuck Yeah!!!

Next generation means better graphical capabilty, and thats it?

Anyone who talks shit aboot teh Wii hasnt played it. I was trying to tell my cousin dont buy a DS for your kids, get a Wii, comes with 5 games. All I got in response was "Fuck a stupid fucking wii, its a POS who wants that, they want a DS Fuck a Wii"

Until last nite when after poker i'm playing it and he's cursing me out telling me to keep playing poker. Then he picks up a wiimote and 10 minutes later he's saying "i m bringing the kids over to play this, my kids would love this, it comes with games I wouldnt have to buy games"

It might be a joke graphically, but Nintendo has always been the real innovators in bring technology to the masses.

A few examples of this are the rumble feature and analog stick where first brought to the masses by Nintendo.

Just like everything else Nintendo comes up with it and the competitors see it as a threat that is why PS3 has the SIXAXIS controls and the Microsoft released a statement a week or so ago telling the public they too would be coming out with a motion type controller.

What does "Next Generation" mean? All in all, next gen is something that companies have labeled. Next gen used to be about a leap in gameplay experience, graphics, and connectable. However, these last couple generations have really focused on two things Online capability and most of all graphics...nothing more.

I know this is like beating a dead horse, but no one has "more fun" in a game because the graphics are superior. We have fun because of the experience (yes graphics can aid that experience), but it is what the game is offering at it's core. For instance, gears of war is a beautiful game but the game is such a good game because of the unique gameplay feature which have been added to enhance our fun and add something genuinely new to the table of Third Person Shooters.

You demonstrate your ignorance quite well.
Considering That game is a multi-platform PORT, each system's version is not going to be "optimized" for it. The PS3 and XBOX360 versions can get by on this since they have a ton of processing power, but since the Wii lacks that, instead of spening time to optimize code to work well, the developers will just scale down graphical eye-candy to improve FPS. Look at the PS3 footage, i would say there is an average of ~25fps, and i noticed choppiness. It's just due to developers being stressed on making basicly 3 different games, but due to time constraints, have to use the same resources for each one.
