okay... so I went today to sign a lease on an apartment I was supposed to be getting that was right near the college I'll be going to... only to find out when I got there that the DICKHEAD landlord went and gave the apartment to someone else. I had already given him a month's rent and a security deposit in advance, but when I asked for my money back, the assmonkey tried to say he never got it. So what did I do?
Went to my car, got my most recent bank statement and the receipt he had given me, and showed him. He gave the money back without hesitating...
WTF?!! stupid asshole! you think just because I'm a student that I'm some dumb kid you can rip off to make a quick $500? Well guess what moron, you better fucking think again. You might be able to pull that shit on some dumbass disorganized shitbag, but not me.

Anyway... since I was sorta depending on this apartment, and I've called and been told "we can't lease to students" by just about all the others, I have 4 days to come up with a place to live or I'm fucked. :mad: :mad:

i think you should have put up a fight for the apartment. i mean you did all that shit in advance, and someone just comes along and takes it? and you're allowing this? mind you i wouldn't want a landlord like that fuckhead anyway, but it's better than having nowhere to live. but seriously, i can't help but think there was something that could have been done to get it back. maybe you did try and i'm just pointing out the obvious, in which case... good luck man, that really blows.
 
I was royally pissed about his moving in someone else without notifying me, and he certainly heard about it. I argued with him for like 15 minutes, and it became clear he wasn't going to tell this new person they couldn't have the apartment... that was when I told him I wanted the damn money back, and he tried to play stupid like he never got the money......
