So I broke the joystick off my N73

I've had my N73 for one week. When I pulled it out of my pocket to send a text message I noticed something strange. The joystick was gone. At first, I thought maybe it had just popped out. It will pop back in, but it's very loose and it will come right back off. After looking at some of the disassembly instructions it appears that the whole shaft has broken off. Look at this picture:

I have a couple of questions.

1. Would this be covered by the warranty? I hope I have a warranty, but I'm not sure since I bought it off ebay.

2. Would this be easy to fix myself? I see they have parts on cnn.cn

3. Could i glue it back in place?

Thanks for your help.

Depends where you bought it from, ask them about their warranty since u only had it for 1 week, they should help u fix it at no cost

The shaft is broken, so unless you've brought some outer space glue, It's not practical gluing that thing back together, so you have to order the whole set from cnn.cn . Since the new set has to be attached to the board, I'd recommend you'd take it to a repair shop who has done this kinda stuff and let him do it.

I broke mine also... it was in my pocket at the time... I think it's fairly common that this thing breaks. I went to a Nokia service center and they wanted $80. I said screw it and traded it in for an E65.

This part looks like I'd have to solder it. My soldering skills are ok, but not when it's on my $400 phone. Would I have to solder anything if I went with the keypad assembly or should I get this whole part?

One more question. I started to disassemble my n73 and I don't have the right star screwdriver. Does anyone know what size it is? It doesn't say in any of the disassembly instructions that i can find.
