so how come theres no 848 streetfighter?????????

I beleive dmnz is using a metaphor here, the 848 being a knife while the 1098 is the gun battling it out with the other liter bikes. I love my 848 but I have to admit the liter bikes(damn honda's) are very fast in the straits if pitted against my 848 then again my 848 is for tracking and not for dragging
 
Prior to buying my 848, I read in sportrider magazine that the production cost of the 848 is not that far off compared to the 1198. this being said, an 848s will cost more than an 1198 thus limiting an 848s marketability. If I were a buyer and the 848s is more expensive than an 1198, I will go for the stock 1198
 
I own both (848 & Streetfighter) and can vouch that the revvy (for a v-twin) 849cc unit just wouldn't fit the brutal "point-&-blast" nature of the 'Fighter......having said that Ducati have been rumored to have the welterweight bruiser on the drawing board.......i guess it'll be a case of wait and see....

cool by the way I just downloaded a classic british zombie movie, i figured you would be interested its called let sleeping corpses lie, its from the early 70's and is supposed to be excellent.
