So God ask himself to save himself in the Garden of Gethsemane?

So God Died on the cross. But wasn't God praying to God asking himself to remove this cup from himself? But of course none the less let his will be done. HUH?

Mark 14:35-36
35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

So God ask himself to save himself and that is what he wants but then turns around and says but what you will? So what was the will of God. He didn't want to die but then he did? HUH? Does that make sense?

If Jesus is God, why does he pray to himself, asking himself to save himself?

Folks I don't think Jesus is God after all

You are confused, did you just start reading the Bible? Just keep reading and praying for the true interpretation of it you may get revelation knowledge.

Jesus is not God.

God created Adam and when he sinned there was an accusation from Satan that all men would be sinners.

If God came to earth in person to prove Satan lied . . then He proved nothing. It is like making a potter drink water to prove he does not leak . . instead of putting water into the pot he made to prove its worth.

God was accused of making a faulty creation . . so Gods own son (a created being) offered to become a human like Adam (perfect) and take the test Adam failed. Jesus did exactly that and won. He died faithful and sinless.

God could not possibly have stood in place of His created being . . it would have proved nothing.

That is why we call what Jesus did . . the ransom.

There is only One God and also there are 3 Person in one Godhead, namely the Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost. Jesus is the Son of God, so that makes Him God.

Read the Bible, you'll be able to get the answers you asks for. Read John chapter 1, it says there, in the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God. The Word was made flesh it says there... It's Jesus.

Jesus in human form also felt fear of dying, that's why He asked the Father to save Him but in the end He said let the will of God (the Father) happen. It's the will of God (the Father) that Jesus would sacrifice Himself in the cross to save mankind. Because without the shedding of the blood, there is no forgiveness. He was praying to the Father. Pray that the Holy Spirit enlighten you on what is written in the Bible. God bless

Your question brings up the theological ideology of the "Trinity" embraced by many religions. The Trinity is God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Ghost. When you look at this scripture using the perspective of the Trinity, it makes sense.

Religion is between a person and his/her God and for me this scripture is one of my favorites. Jesus is God, but God in the form of a man. God is all knowing and Jesus knew that he was about to be crucified. He knew the pain that he was about to suffer, and he basically asked God His Father to skip this part of his intended journey. What man among us would not do the same thing?

My children have come to me when they were in trouble, knowing the consequences of their actions, asking me for help just as Jesus was doing to his father. Thankfully, God did not grant his Son's request.
