You don't have to, but having a good education in relevant areas is generally considered helpful. Except, of course, by those who have chosen to demonize intelligence.

Your question is actually quite a good example. It would be beneficial for you to demonstrate grammatical skills above that of your average 4th grader. That's not to say you don't know what you are talking about, just that being a little more knowledgeable is usually good.

or a constitutional expert to understand the constitution?

how about a child psycology degree to be a good parent?

Or an accounting degree to balance your checkbook?

Isint this the liberal mentality, when they try to claim people dont know what there talking about when discussing things?
I see it constantly on Y!A alone andf always from the left. You neaver hear the right saying, :"oh so you have a degree in economics?" or vise versa.

Its helpful if you understand how the economy works and have some business background. Which nobody has business experience in the Obama administration- that's just weird!
Constitution- yes you have to have at least read it and memorized it.
Child psych- -- no but it wouldn't hurt- I have a minor in it.

Everyone should be able to subtract their checkbook numbers.

No, you've missed the mark entirely. However, listening to credible sources is part of the "liberal mentality."

Liberals don't have a "mentality". That would imply intelligence - something we all know Liberals aren't blessed with. Please...don't give them any more credit than they deserve...which is zero.

No, but you have a decent understanding of the concepts to perform the actions successfully. Its more than obvious when people don't...

not to mention how obvious it is when people google something to answer a question and are learning about it for the first time.

Finally, someone who admits that the republicans do not know what they are talking about. Liberals believe you need some kind of credibility so speak on such topics so you can claim responsibility for your words.

Republicans have no problem talking on subjects they no nothing about.

Nope you sure dont even Warren Buffet doesn't have a wall ful of paper degrees, most successful peole don't W. Clemmet Stone never finished High School

So you are claiming that being uneducated and ignorant is a better way to go through life?

Is that the reason why unemployment for people with no high school diploma is 12.8%, 9.5% for high school grads and only 7.3% for college grads?

The ignorant mentality is when idiots listen to so-called "experts" on talk radio and take their opinions as fact.
