When Socrates was charged with (not recognizing the gods and) "corrupting the youth" was that a reference to his homosexuality and pedophilia instead of, (as she taught it) his challenging manner and controversial teachings?
 
No I don't think so because it was an accepted part of Greek culture for older men to have sex with boys. Your teacher knew that.
 
He merely taught his own theories that they did not approve of. Much like religious or political views now that conflict with ones thinking...only then it was against the law to express ones opinion if it went against the powers that be. He accepted his punishment rather than bow down to their standards. It had nothing to do with sexual connotations.
