So Cal Insurance?

Hey guys. New to the forum. I used to ride a Honda CBR, but it was totaled when some lady hit me on the freeway. Ive been riding since about '99 but havent had a bike for a few years after the accident.

Im planning on going to the dealership this saturday to check out the 848 in So Cal, but the only thing holding me back is going to be the insurance. I can afford to pay $500 a month for insurance and bike payment, but I dont want to pay that much if I dont have to.

Im 27, havent had any tickets in years. I was wondering if any guys here in So Cal riding a ducati minded posting what they pay for full coverage.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Use the forums search box and type in "insurance", there's a few old threads with tons of props for different insurance companies around the country.

Oh, and welcome to the board.

I am 25 My first bike is my 1098. I have 1 speeding ticket and I am paying 110 a month for full coverage.

I called AIS insurance in santa monica and they hooked me up. I cant find their buss card but I am sure you can find there info on the net.

Empire welcome! It's good to see someone close! I live in Mentone! I say F**K Progressive! THey tried to screw me and almost double my premiums. THis was for no reason. I have no tickets and no accidents! I also went with State Farm! I am paying $386.00 for six months. I am 33 and I stated above no tix and accidents! You might have to pay more than you think. We do live in So. Cal! If you are interested PM me and I will give you the name of my agent! He is a friend of mine - Steve

Cool thanks for the info. Ive put buying my Ducati on hold for a while because my work is messing with my pay too much but if I do I will send you a PM and talk to your guy.

I saw a 1098 and a few Monsters riding out this weekend when I was in Aguanga and it looked awesome to see 4 Ducs riding together. It made me want to say F it and just go buy my 848.

I might get it sooner than I thought. Hopefully I will be starting to do more home appraisals soon and that will give me extra cash each month, way more than I would need to get the bike and insurance.
