Kiplinger is reporting a bill its working its way through the house that all 3-owner-and-less S Corporation personal service firms will be subject to the 15.3% SECA tax starting January of 2011 up to the social security limit of $106,800 (Assuming we don't see a removal of the cap). The medicare portion is uncapped on taxability.
We can thank such lovely anti-business thieves like Charlie Rangel for putting this on the agenda.
This is going to mean a lifestyle change for a number of S Corporation owners, myself included.
Lovely.
