I'm really not noticing a huge difference in the graphics.

Metroid Prime 2: Echos looks pretty much every bit as good as Zelda: Twilight Princess

am I retarded or partially blind?

in other news, both metroid and mario kart: double dash are fun as fuck

The gamecube was a damn powerful system. The Wii is purportedly around 2-3 times more powerful. So you will eventually see games that have a noticable graphic edge over GC, but nothing of epic proportions. Plus, Metroid Prime 1 & 2 are works of art in their design and execution, so they just look fantastic anyways.

you're comparing a game that was released later in the gamecube's life and a game that was released at the beginning of the wii's life.

once the wii has been out for a while and developers have been able to "unlock" the power of wii, there will be more improved graphics

who said I was looking at graphics power?

If I wanted that, I am well aware that I would have to go with a 360 or a PS3.

actually, that is a lie, if I wanted graphics power, I would just play a game on my PC. I don't really care if the games I play on my console look good or not, I just want them to be fun

well you're comparing 2 gamecube games, of course they're going to look exactly the same. as far as how the wii will look in it's prime, well it's roughly twice as powerful as the gamecube if you look at the specs, so you will definately notice a graphical edge over the best looking title gamecube has, twilight princess, and i'm perfectly content with that.
