So, breeders of DS.... (few of you that there are) do you ever do breeding mentoring? Why? What do you expect of your "student"? How do they contact you?
To any of you that have/had a breed mentor, my questions are the same, but obviously asked from your standpoint on the arrangement.

I disagree - just because there isn't someone holding your hand while your bitch whelps doesn't mean you don't have breed mentors.
My problem is that although I'm interested in the whole scheme of things, I am not remotely interested in purchasing a dog, at least not before my oldest dog passes away. I'm in it for the knowledge and the real-life experience - it can't hurt to know as much as possible before making this kind of commitment, no?
