you did in fact have some HcG?
there was of course the control line and then the window for the positive line to show, but the line was quite faint really, some definate blue dots about 6 or 7 in the line, but then the rest was like a blue shadow of a line
 
all woman when not pregnant have 0-5ml hcg in their bodies at all times. but the most sensitive tests on the market are 10ml so unless a woman has had a miscarriage and is taking time for her hcg to go back to 5 then no test should be able to pick up enough on a non pregnant woman

but one thing is that a chemical pregnancy can happen where the egg is fertilsed but does not implant enough. in this case the hcg raises slightly but the test will only show faint positive and the next morning normally goes back to negative
