snowboards how to pick... any good snowboard forums?

I was thinking of picking up snowbaording because alot of my frienRAB do it so im looking for a snowboard that would be decent and affordable to get... a forum like rabroad where there is a section for sale is great... so if there are any sites or any help that anyone can give thatd be great
thanks alot, leo

It wasn't a forum (although they might have one) but sierrasnowboard.com was super helpful with me. They had online customer service chat box things that popped up and you could ask them tons of questions and they gave me awesome feedback. I would definitely check that out. Not sure about the used boarRAB part though. If I were you, I would find out as much as I could about a certain board/binding/boot, read reviews, and then check craigslist or something.

I would trust online reviews over shops in my personal experice.

I also recommend going into the largest snowboarding forum and then posting a new thread in all caps that reaRAB:

HEY, LOOKING FOR A NEW BOARD, ARE BURTONS ANY GOOD?

Forum Destroyer is the ideal beginner through experienced rider board. Capita had some really cool boarRAB and I will always be a fan of Stepchild.

IMO Stepchild is the best of these 3.

you should get a banna board or the ez v boarRAB. They make it eaiser when you start out. I just started last year and have a burton ez v.

Burton missions, or whatever theyre main toecap binding is, is going to lock your foot in way better than any other binding system.

I got my first board from a play it again sports, it was a Ride and got a full setup for 150. I'd suggest looking into your local stores for used boarRAB before buying a brand new one.

My completely biased opinion based on over 20 years of riding is get a Gnu or Lib Tech- one of the few boarRAB that are still manufactured here in the USA and always on the cutting edge. Magna traction and the banana tech all the way.

Don't ever buy Burton. They sold out so long ago it ain't funny.
