Snowboarding.

Well, it's something I can't do for shit. I tried on Friday. There's a local 'ski resort'. Mostly, just a big hill with snow maker machine things on it. They manufacture snow.

Well, when I went it was like 40 degrees, and the snow was very nearly just slush. And I apparently have a horrible sense of balance, because it took me an hour and a half to fall down the family slope. I'm still in pain today. It sucked. I can't wait to go again.:D

At least you can go skiing. In my place there is even no snow to talk about (tropical!). Despite of that I really want to enjoy some skiing. *envious* :)

It took a long time to get used to a snowboard. Second year now, and starting to learn some new stuff. (like a bit of grinding, allmost a 180...)
Just keep trying, because it's pertty great fun.

Today I fell short of a grindbox. It sucked. My pelvis is bruised a bit. That's not bad, but others out there must've had a good laugh at me. I also tried to do a 180 off a middle-size jump. I ended up having half an inch of air and landing face-first into the snow. I can't wait to get back again anyway. Just to keep trying.

Want my humble advice? Don't try to bite off too much. When you first start you get fatigued quick. Go at least 2 days in a row. If you have no experience take one lesson, then go out for a half day. No more.
Now go out the next day, and I promise you'll surprise yourself. You'll notice you're falling remarkably less the second day than the first. You won

yeah it took me around 2 weeks to learn to how to start carving and everything. Im on my 7th or 8th year now and for like 5 years i just free rode and the last 3 i started doin tricks. I was doin our box and it was slanted (not purposely) and my board was sliding off so i tryed to jump off and my board caught on the edge, i fell and hit both my knees, wrists and then my jaw  yeah, just keep getting back up and you'll get the jist of it eventually

It tokk me a good 3 weeks to get the hang of all the turns and how to keep my blaance. But after a while. It just got easier as i go. But whe i tried jumping for the first time i nearly broke my tailbone. Now i race, my last race was last week. I came in 3 out of 178. But after you get the hang of itm its fun! :)
