Ok I will keep this short. I broke 3 vertabrae of my thorassic spine in a serious car accident a couple years ago. I have had pain in my back since but have not been on meRAB for 6 months or so. So I was snowboarding and tried to do something that I really shouldnt have tried and ended up faceplanting and then having the momentum of my drop have my legs end up going over my back and I heard everything in my back crack. I immediatly thought of the accident and that I really did it this time and this was it but there wasnt any pain until I tried to move. Still the pain was not as bad as the sounRAB of my back had eluded to. Long story short I didnt return to the slopes that day I went to the car and spent the remainder of the day thinking about going to the hospital or just going home. I just went home and now its been about a week and there is still pain in my lower right hand side of my back. I dont know whether its a broken rib or bruised rib or what? It woudl only hurt if I strained that area of my body initially, but now my whole back hurts really bad(like when i broke the vertabrae). Should I get new xrays? How long should I wait? The pain is bearable but barely. ANy suggestions would be nice. I know I was all over the place but thats my ADD kicking in and first post jitters. Thanks

Don't delay get yourself into a hospital emergency or you doctors office. Please don't sit around playing doctor and trying to diagnose yourself.

i would get yourself to the hospital and get some x-rays done quickly, i broke my back in 4 places 10 years ago and have suffered from chronic back pain and depression ever since and i'd hate to hear that your back got bad because you didn't go to the hospital. and by the sounRAB of it you also think that its a broken vertebrae again, so please get yourself checked out x
