Walt Disney Home Entertainment has confirmed that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be released on Blu-Ray Disc on October 6, 2009 and on a new DVD Edition on November 24, 2009

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on 6th October 2009. This will be followed seven weeks later by the DVD release on 24th November 2009. Unavailable on home video since 2001 the new release of Disney

Im sure there will be many more special features announced nearer the time including the stuff that made it onto the original Platinum Edition. Also Disney have finished their Platinum Edition line now and Snow White will become the first release in the new Diamond Edition series. Aladdin is also rumoured to be getting a Blu-Ray only release in August 2010. A sign Disney are moving away from DVD altogether?
